"The Pyrography of Art"
Pyrography is more than a technique; it's a conversation between wood and fire, a dialogue where both elements come together to create something unique and full of life. My name is KKendall, and my journey into the art of pyrography began in a small workshop in Dallas, Texas, where textures, scents, and the stories of wood took on a completely new dimension for me.
Inspired by Texas landscapes, organic forms, and the depth of local artistic traditions, I began experimenting with the idea of sculpting with fire. Each piece I create is a reflection of the roots both the wood and I share: strong, but moldable under the heat of the moment. My designs explore the intersection between nature and urban culture, showcasing both traditional patterns and modern forms that resonate with the streets of Dallas.
The process is meditative, almost spiritual. Each burned line is a commitment, an unrepeatable stroke that reflects not only my vision as an artist, but also the intrinsic story the wood already carries within. Some of my works are inspired by the vast Texas plains and their endless skies, while others capture the vibrant, cosmopolitan corners of the city.
What I want visitors to understand is that my pyrography is more than just decorative art. It's a testament to how natural elements and human hands can come together to tell profound and visually impactful stories. Each piece is an invitation to stop and look closely, to feel the warmth of the flames that brought it to life, and to be swept away by the magic of art made with fire.

Fractal Woodburning is a technique that combines the beauty of nature with the precision of science, merging electricity and wood to create patterns that seem to grow and stretch like living roots. My name is KKendall, and this form of art captured my imagination the moment I saw how electricity could transform the surface of wood into something entirely new and vibrant.
In my workshop in Dallas, Texas, I found a medium where energy and natural matter fuse together. Inspired by lightning streaking across the sky during Texas storms, I began experimenting with controlled electric currents, allowing nature itself to draw fractal lines across each piece of wood. The process, though challenging and delicate, yields a fascinating result: each pattern is unique, unrepeatable, as if the wood is mapping out its own story.
The art of Fractal Woodburning is not only a visual spectacle but also a meditation on power and fragility. Electricity can be destructive, but in the right hands, it can also create something profoundly beautiful.
